The Republic of Djibouti on Thursday [25 August] submitted to the Arab League documents recognizing the National Transitional Council (NTC) as the "legal and sole representative of the Libyan people until the setting up of constitutional institutions" in the country.
A communique has been published to this effect by Djibouti's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The same communique adds that Djibouti intends "to have the best relations with the next [Libyan] government which will be formed very soon after the success of the 17 February revolution."
